CMA CGM debuts ACSA 5 service

CMA CGM has announced the launch of its ACSA 5 service connecting Asia with Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile.

The latest offering from the carrier will set sail from June 2022 and complement its three ACSA services already available.

The new product will offer customers competitive and short transit times – this is said to especially benefit producers of perishable goods and fresh fruits.

The full rotation is as follows: Hong Kong (China) – Shekou (China) – Ningbo (China) – Shanghai (China) – Manzanillo (Mexico) – Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala) – San Antonio (Chile) – Hong Kong

A fleet of five vessels will operate on this service specially designed for reefer transportation.

This week, CMA CGM also launched its new TMX 1.2 service which offers fast connections between Turey, Spain, France, and Algeria.

The new weekly Pendulum service is a result of a reshuffling of the company’s SSL INTRAMED services and will commence from Week 23.

A fleet of three containerships with an average capacity of 1,100 TEU will be deployed on the route.
